Methodology

The following section describes the methodology that was followed in order to meet the objectives of this study. For the purpose of this study, the methodology was separated into three sections (or phases). The separation of the methodology into three sections allowed for the objectives to be attained in a clear and logical manner. The following sections will describe the phases mentioned above:

 

• Phase 1 the accumulation and analysis of subject material (Literature Review)

• Phase 2 modelling,

• Phase 3 which is a discussion of results will be discussed in a later chapter.

As this study is not experiment based but rather research based, and the content of this study is only based on selected material, it should be noted that there a number of methods to compare codes. The methods chosen and the review of literature were done for the purpose of critically reviewing TMH7 Part 2 while compiling a fair comparison of traffic models between the two codes in question.
